Art Meets Poetry 2025 - A Journey with Ink & Insight

Art Meets Poetry offers an exceptional opportunity to witness the fusion of visual art and poetry. This annual event, a collaboration between the Mockingbird Poetry Society and the Art Club of McKinney, showcases the creativity of artists and poets as they inspire and interpret each other's work.

This was my first time participating in an event like this. I submitted one piece of art: a photograph called Convergence, that was chosen by poet Doris Brogan to write poetry for. And I selected an art piece, Atlas Alone by artist Ceri Powers to create inspired poetry from. Check them out here!
